2003 Western Underclass Showcase
Perry was one of the top hitters at the Western Underclass Showcase. He has a very quick bat and the wood bat didn’t slow him down at all, either for bat control or for power. Perry consistently hit the ball on the sweet spot in game situations and even drove a triple up the gap on an 88 mph fastball. It’s hard to imagine him not being a good hitter at the next level. Perry’s a MLB ave, or better runner with good body life but what position he ends up is difficult to project right now. He played well in the infield and Centerfield might be a good place to think about too. Either way he is a very good prospect. Ryan is a very good student as well.
