Ian Maxeiner is a 2012 C/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from McHenry, IL who attends Marian Central Catholic. Lean athletic body, good strength projection. Clean transfer and release catching, on line accurate throws, 2.00 best pop time, received well in games. Long level swing, stays on plane through contact, squares it up consistently, aggressive game approach, tends to lean back and not flow through ball, has the strength to improve his raw bat speed. Also pitched, compact arm action, on line delivery, low effort release. Fastball to 80 mph, some downhill plane, occasional arm side run, fair spin to mid 60's curveball, could extend better on CB.
