Tyler Buffett is a 2013 RHP/1B/C with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Albuquerque Academy. Lean athletic build, young look, should get stronger. Tall delivery, loose arm works well, slow deliberate pace, tends to leave backside over the rubber at release. Steady mid 80's fastball, topped out at 87, mostly straight, tends to pitch to the middle of the plate. Slider has nice bite and 2 plane shape, maintains arm speed well on change up. Good off speed pitches that he could throw/mix in more frequently. Fields his position well, athletic actions. Good student.
