Luken Baker is a 2015 RHP with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Extra large build, country strong look. Long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, shows ball some in back, hard front side and will spin off at times, fairly simple delivery mechanics. Big fastball velocity, challenges hitters with heat, topped out at 95 mph, fastball very heavy at times, lacks fastball deception but doesn't need any. Slider flashes quality as a second pitch, sharp 12/6 downer shape at times with hard spin, will slow arm on slider at times. Rare change up. Power pitcher's approach on a power pitcher's body. Impressive performance. Very good student, verbal commitment to Texas Christian. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
