Danny Diaz is a 2015 LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Sunset HS. Medium build with room to get stronger. Stiff leg raise delivery with a pause at the top, big side step to start, medium length arm action, repeatable directional delivery, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball consistently in the 76-78 mph range, works the ball to the arm side corner well. Turns over nice change up with fading action, gets some depth on a big soft curveball. Gets hitters impatient and reaching and gets quick outs when he stays out of the middle of the zone. Knows how to pitch and use his stuff. Good student.
