Jacob Rico is a 2014 C/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Scripps Ranch HS. Strong athletic build, looks bigger than listed. Right handed hitter, straight stance, simple load and shift, some upper cut in swing plane, high finish, has raw bat speed and strength, tends to step out on swing affecting balance/direction. High energy defensive player, blocks and shifts well, good raw arm strength, can simplify throwing mechanics, 1.95 best pop time. Has the tools and approach to keep improving.
