Matthew Sturchio is a 2013 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Rochester, MN who attends Rochester Century. Medium build athlete with present strength. Versatile, played multiple defensive positions well. Behind the plate, quick feet. Good transfer and release, showed arm strength. Raw skills but has potential. Graded out higher as infielder. Quick feet, hands show feel, aggressive, arm strength at present with more to come. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance, opposite field approach, stays inside of the ball and has line drive swing plane. Quick worker on the mound with downhill motion and repeatable mechanics. Big 11/5 curveball is best off speed pitch. Has present pitchability. Good student.
