Stephen Englund is a 2005 outfielder/second baseman from Woodbury, Minnesota, with an athletic 6'0", 165 lb. frame. Englund can really run. He ran a 6.51 sixty and showed great first step quickness defensively and on the bases. He has great actions in the outfield, but his quickness and arm strength might make him a full time second baseman in the future. He has average bat speed with some power potential. Englund shows gap power now, and consistently hits the ball hard. He uses the entire field, and will be an excellent lead off hitter at the next level. His combination of speed and power potential will make him a big follow for Div. 1 schools. Stephen is a very good student.
