Ray Brewer is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-6 245 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Sayre HS. XL frame, very tall and strong. Strong two-way player who continued to show a lot of promise on the mound. Strong arm, top arm slot, showed slight improvement to both secondary pitches, an encouraging development, a trend that needs to continue. Works downhill, balanced online delivery, could finish pitches better with more extension out front. Loose arm, works quick, good mound presence, showed some feel for changeup. Simple swing mechanics, good raw power, threat for occasional Home Run at present, could develop into dangerous hitter. Best as a pitcher at present, future likely on the mound though has very good two-way potential. Very good student.
