2003 South Underclass Showcase
Mazur showed one of the better gloves in the underclass showcase. He is a 5 foot 11 third baseman with a good arm and some good potential with the bat as well. He lacks the foot-speed to move him away from 3B, but his glove and arm played nicely at that position in Waco. He showed 81 mph velocity on his throw across the field and the same on the mound. In fact, we liked what he showed us on the hill. His fastball had some life, his curve was a good sharp one and the control he showed with that breaking ball was excellent. He regeisterd 66-70 mph on his curveball and also showed a 70 mph change-up. It was nice to see that he has versatility and we think he can contribute in both areas at the next level. He creates good bat speed and the bat will dictate the level he will end up at..
