Andrew Encinas is a 2013 LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Norwalk, CA who attends Gahr HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Simple leg raise delivery, bit cross body on release, arm works well, good arm speed, tight 3/4's release, repeats well, has some deception. Fastball to 82 mph, have seen up to 86 mph in the past, looks like he's throwing hard, late swings against, good fastball life and spots FB down in the zone. Very good change up with fade and arm speed, big sweeping curveball for strikes, mixes like a pro, very efficient. Doesn't need velocity to get outs. Good student.
