Patrick Dayton is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends La Jolla. Dayton has a medium sized frame with a thin lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. His arm works well and he throws it easy with low effort. The ball comes out of his hand clean and he projects for more velocity. He lands across his body and his front foot lands open. There's more velocity in there with better use of his lower half. Dayton gets arm side run on his fastball and also throws a 12/6 curveball with tight spin and some bite. He works down in the zone well. At the plate, Dayton has an aggressive approach with loose hands. He has developing hitting tools. Good student.
