Matthew Coello is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends West Orange HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Quick athletic actions behind the plate, low and flexible, stays compact and efficient in his blocking and throwing footwork, compact arm action, tends to stand up to throw, very good raw arm strength, 1.95 best pop time, has the tools and actions to be a top level defensive catcher in time. Right handed hitter, stays balanced well, pretty short to the ball with some length and extension out front, hits to all fields and flashed some gap power, should continue to improve with strength. Plays with energy and good effort. Good student.
