Bryan Duenas is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from South Gate, CA who attends Warren HS. Well proportioned athletic build, good present strength. Big leg raise/back turn delivery, repeats mechanics well, 3/4's arm slot, uses lower half well and works downhill, good controlled energy to his delivery. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, pounded the bottom of the zone with his fastball and worked ahead in counts. Used slider as his out pitch, big sweeping break with some bite, bad swings versus slider. Has some tweaks to delivery to make but two present pitches and very good command/pitchability. Right handed hitter, big stride into contact, has raw bat speed, long swing with some lift, power approach. Showed good athleticism and arm strength at first base. Good student. Verbal commitment to San Diego State. Named to the National Underclass Session 1 Top Prospect Team.
