Elijah Connell is a 2015 LHP with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Dalton. Extra-large, athletic frame with a long, lean build, projects well with added strength. Ran well, posted a 7.06 60 yard dash. Left handed pitcher, works from a three-quarter arm slot, clean arm circle, drop and drive delivery, follows through nicely. Gets on top of ball well, generating downhill plane, ball leaves hand cleanly. Shows the ability to throw to glove side with fastball, which topped at 86 mph and worked in the mid-80's. Best velocity was from the stretch. Strong feel for his slider, showing good depth and hard break at 76 mph. Fills up the zone with both pitches. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Duke. Named to National Underclass Session 3 Top Prospect List and Team.
