T.J. O'Grady is a 2006 right handed pitcher/outfielder from Congers, New York, with a 6'1", 192 lb. frame. O'Grady has a very good pitcher's body with room to add more strength to his frame. He is athletic on the mound, and has a little jump towards the plate at the release in his delivery. This causes him to cut off his front side at times, limiting his velocity. His arm works well and we think there is already more velocity in his arm if he makes the adjustments. His fastball topped out at 80 mph with good control. O'Grady also mixed in a curveball at 70 mph that he over threw at times. He had a very good performance going three innings and not allowing an earned run on only two hits while striking out four. He also showed his arm strength from the OF throwing 82 mph with a more free front side. He is a right handed hitter with a balanced swing from a wide stance. O'Grady has solid bat speed and hand strength, and uses a gap to gap approach, but will turn on the inside pitch. He is a line drive hitter with a solid swing. O'Grady is a projectable player both on the mound and at the plate. He has present tools and a projectable body. He is a solid 2006 follow.
