Nico Hoerner is a 2015 SS/3B/RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Oakland, CA who attends Head Royce HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. 6.86 runner, moves well defensively with lateral range, quick release with a compact arm action, second base arm strength, look and tools but will be very good there. Right handed hitter, simple sound approach, bit of a still start, strong hands with a quick line drive swing, swings hard and makes hard contact, squares the ball up consistently, high average hitter with some gap power, polished offensive player. Very good student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
