Tyson Pulsifer -- Pulsifer is a switch-hitting junior infielder from Florida who appears much stronger than his 165 lb. listed weight. He did a nice job hitting the ball in both games and during batting practice. Pulsifer is a bit longer and stronger from the right side of the plate and his bat speed is a bit better. He’ll hit for more power from this side. From the left side Pulsifer’s swing is quicker and shorter and he’s better at keeping his hands inside the ball, thus higher batting average potential. He runs fairly well with excellent instincts. Defensively, Pulsifer profiles best at 2B. He’s fundamentally sound in his actions and footwork and has an accurate arm. Tyson is a very good student and has the ability to be a big contributer at the next level.
