Ross Dodds is a 2015 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Buchanan HS. Very solid athletic build with present strength. Right handed hitter, very good present bat speed, swings hard and has some effort at contact but stays balanced and directional well, ball jumps very hard, pull line drive contact, squares the ball up consistently, has some lift out front for future power, offensive potential stood out. Third base/right field tools on defense, big throwing arm with accurate on line throws, showed very good instincts and routes in the outfield, plays faster than his sixty speed. Also pitched, has potential as a two-way prospect. Well balanced back turn delivery, full arm circle, throws under control and with low effort. Mid 80's fastball with good arm side run, big slow curveball that can be tightened up, threw strikes and had a quick inning. Good student.
