Drew Waters is a 2017 OF/MIF with a 6-2 183 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Etowah HS. Long athletic build, has some present strength and is very projectable physically. 6.69 runner, is smooth and fast through the ball in the outfield, fast compact arm action with outstanding arm strength and carry. Switch-hitter, leg lift trigger with a big hand hitch load from both sides, timing is complicated but it worked very well in games for him, legitimate switch-hitter with big raw bat speed from both sides of the plate, ball jumps off his bat hard, works the middle of the field well, has lift in his swing out front and can get the ball out of the part on his pitch. Very interesting athlete who could end up as a power hitting/switch-hitting centerfielder with a easy plus arm. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
