Reece Calvert is a 2014 RHP with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano East HS. Tall slender build, weighs less than listed and has a projectable look. Full hand over head delivery, fast loose arm, tight 3/4's release, hides ball well. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, big consistent tailing and sinking life, fastball even shows big life up in zone, movement hard to control at times but is a major weapon, maintained velocity very well. Change up best secondary pitch, aimed at times but good arm speed, could use more. Still developing feel for low 70's curveball, mostly flat at present. Worked quick and was difficult to hit in the strike zone. Has tools to develop. Good student.
