Gaby Martinez is a 2015 C/ with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Watauga, TX who attends Keller. Martinez has an athletic build, hits from a square stance with a short stride. Line drive swing plane with lift, fluid swing and good bat speed. Makes consistent line drive contact to pull side. Is short to ball. Defensively, low set up, quick transfer, has a high release, gains ground on throw. Also pitched, medium to shorter arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot. Fastball has good downhill angel and mixes in big breaking 11/5 curveball. Arm works well and has repeatable mechanics. Good idea how to pitch. Outstanding Student. Named to Top Prospect List.
