Preston Sparks is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Kathleen, GA who attends Veterans HS. Tall, strongly built right-hander. Ran a 7.82 60 yard dash. Throws from a high three-quarter arm slot and reaches 85 mph with his fastball. Stays on top consistently and shows arm side running action. Flashes good 11-5 shape to his 72 mph curveball, but needs to find consistency. Changeup his best present off speed pitch at 74 mph. Relies on excellent fastball command and movement. Also swung the bat, shows a short swing path and a line drive approach. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
