Michael Davis is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Conyers, GA who attends Piedmont Academy. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a long arm action in the back and a compact release. Steady tempo delivery, slight effort at release, works quickly on the mound. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, shows some sink and run to arm side. Has a feel for curveball at 64 mph showing 1-7 shape and flashed a changeup at 65 mph. Stays low fielding the ball at first base with a wide base, throws from a lower arm slot across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and a slight open base. Upper body swing, gets the barrel through the zone and looks to lift, swing shows length but has a nice feel to hit to the middle of the field.
