Hayden Freeman is a 2016 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-3 223 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Spain Park HS. Very strong and athletic build, fairly mature physically. Runs very well for his size, 6.71 in the sixty. Tends to over charge the ball in the outfield, has good arm strength and carry on his throws, footwork was solid when he wasn't rushing his release. Right handed hitter, busy hand load to swing, open stance with a rotational upper half, gets timed well despite busy load, line drive swing plane with some lift out front, good bat speed and strength at contact, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared. Also pitched, rotational delivery and will spin off his front side, more arm strength there if he was behind the ball. Primary fastball pitcher, topped out at 83 mph, works quickly and fills up the strike zone, rare sweeping slider. Good student.
