Tomas Gonzales is a 2015 SS/2B/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Nimitz HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.26 runner, athletic infield actions with easy and fluid movements, feet are always in position, good hands, quick release on throws with good carry, makes all the plays. Right handed hitter, short line drive swing, stays inside the ball and handles the barrel well, consistent hard line drive contact, showed the ability to make swing adjustments, mid field to opposite field approach, high average hitting style that will improve with additional strength. Aggressive base runner whose speed plays up in games. Also pitched, loose athletic delivery, mid 3/4's arm slot, fastball topped out at 81 mph with a soft curveball. Threw strikes and had a quick inning. Good student.
