Herbert Iser is a 2016 C/3B with a 6-3 207 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Killian HS. Big and very strong build, still appears young in the face and projectable. Will have to watch his size to remain at catcher but is surprisingly agile and athletic, has agility and lower half quickness, big-time arm strength, has strong hands and receives the ball cleanly. Left handed hitter, high back elbow with a big back side load, has plus raw bat speed, will get pull and lift happy at times and drive a ball as far as anyone in the class, best contact when working gap to gap. Has all the tools you want to see in a young catcher, skills are still young and developing. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
