Eduardo Arteaga is a 2017 C/1B with a 6-1 208 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Killian Senior. Large frame, big physical athletic build, good present strength. Primary catcher, looks the part behind the plate. Compact arm-action with solid transfer, release. Able to get on top of throws, recorded a 1.96 pop-time on throw down to second base. Left handed hitter, advanced strength and bat speed. High hand and high back elbow setup, gets bat through zone quickly with efficient path to ball. Pull-oriented approach, ball really jumps off his bat to his pullside, can look to lift the ball at times, flashes big time power potential. Very good student.
