Alexander Hernandez is a 2017 C/ with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Charles W Flanagan. Hernandez has a medium sized frame with some present strength. Defensively he has a very quick release on his pop throws with a compact arm action. Hernandez gains ground with his lower half well and showed good catch and throw actions. He showed arm strength up to 77 MPH with carry and on the bag throws. At the plate, Hernandez starts with a slightly open stance with a high hand set. He uses a small leg lift to start his swing and has a simple short swing. Hernandez is direct to the baseball and swings on a line drive plane. He has bat speed and made good barrel contact. Hernandez is a solid player with a good tool set. Outstanding student.
