Jack Bellinger is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Schaumburg, IL who attends Schaumburg HS. Big strong athletic build. Pretty clean delivery with a compact arm action in back, 3/4's arm slot with good loose extension out front, stays on line with some back side collapse, arm works well. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Slurve type curveball with some spin and depth and a sweeping shape. Threw strikes with both pitches and competed well. Showed his arm strength very well at first base in drills. Right handed hitter, open stance and stays open during his swing, short line drive swing, pull to mid field contact. Good student.
