2015 Sunshine East Showcase
Gabe Scavone is a 2016 1B/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Bishop Moore. XL frame with very good present build and strength throughout body. Sets up to hit with wide base, high hand set, and slightly opened stance. Very short and quick to the ball, mostly line drive contact with quality strength off the barrel. Up the middle approach to hitting, shows some pop to the pull field. Worked out very well defensively at 1B, showing strong arm with accuracy and quick release, topping at 79 MPH on throws. Fielded well with solid footwork, looked comfortable around the bag. Ran a 7.57 60 yard dash. Very good student.
