Decell is a 5-11, 185 lb junior third baseman from Louisiana with some present strength. He's a 7.78 runner who threw 71 mph during infield drills. Decell is a straight up fielder who shows good soft hands on defense and can make the charging play. At the plate Decell has a good loading action with low hands to start his swing and an efficient swing that projects well. He hit the ball well in games and looks like he knows how to handle the bat head. Decell also pitched a couple of innings. His best pitch was a hard spinning 68 mph curveball and his fastball topped out at 79 mph. Decell is a good student off the field. Named to the Top Prospect Game and was the only player to have 2 hits during that game.
