Chase is a 6-1, 205 lb switch hitting senior outfielder from Florida with very good present strength and athletic ability. He ran the 60 in 6.93 and threw 83 mph from the outfield. Chase's defensive fundamentals were very strong and advanced and he should throw out plenty of runners on defense. Offensively, Chase showed very good bat speed and over the fence home run power from the left side of the plate. He has good balance from that side and can really put a charge into the ball. Chase is more restricted on his back side and his extension from the right side but still has very good bat speed and can drive the ball because of his strength. It's rare to find left handed throwing switch hitters but Chase looks like a young athlete who can pull it off. He also threw 80 mph from the left side off the mound from a low 3/4's release point. Chase is a good student who has a solid baseball future at the college level.
