Gary McCoy ll is a 2017 SS/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Junipero Serra. Medium-large frame with athletic present build; body projects well overall. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Coils back slightly into load when hitting, creates separation into stride, does a good job staying compact with hands onto line drive plane with good bat speed. Made consistently squared up line drive contact to all fields, good balance throughout swing, repeated swing mechanics well and projects even better with additional strength. Worked out in the infield, shows clean actions in hands to both sides, has smoothness throughout with good athleticism and range to each side. Showed quality arm strength across the diamond with quick release, clocked up to 81 MPH. Good student.
