Dakota Padoven is a 2017 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Durango, CO who attends Durango HS. Has a medium frame, athletic build, and room to continue to continue to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.54 second sixty yard dash. On the mound, has a simple, slow paced, side step delivery with drop and drive mechanics. Has long arm action and a long arm circle through the back and throws from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Has some natural cutting action on fastball, curveball showed 1/7 shape with good depth. Defensively, showed good coordination in footwork and works hard, had long arm action on throws. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a squared stance and quiet hands in load. Uses a middle of the field, contact approach with good bat speed. Has some natural lift through the back side and through angle, does a nice job of keeping his hands back on off-speed pitches. Excellent student.
