Blake Paugh is a 2017 OF/1B/RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. Big and strong athletic build, retains his athletic looseness and could get stronger. Right handed hitter, has strong hands and drives the barrel through the zone with a short swing, works gap to gap and looks to drive the ball hard, has a feel for hitting and the ball comes off the barrel hard, jumped on one hanging breaking ball for a double to LCF just as he should have. 6.86 runner from past events, good arm strength from the outfield with sound footwork and fundamentals, could get his arm angle raised a bit for less tail on his throws. Also pitched, well paced delivery with a compact arm action and a tight 3/4's slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph. Excellent student.
