Austin Ely is a 2015 OF/IF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Calgary, AB who attends Masters Academy. Medium athletic build, some present strength. 7.53 runner, works through the ball well on defense, good footwork and actions, some developing arm strength, accurate throws. Right handed hitter, very spread stance, limited shift and stride, aggressive swing, approach creates length, handles the barrel well, spray line drive contact, will have to adjust approach to fully use hitting ability. Good student.
