Alex Golembiewski is a 2016 OF/RHP, IF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Mater Dei Catholic. Large frame, tall lean projectable body with room to fill. Long stride, long swing, solid bat speed, uppercut plane, projected strength gains likely to translate to increased bat speed. Good throwing mechanics with a long loose arm action, moves well in the outfield. Primary position player at present but showed a lot of promise on the mound and his projectable arm suggests that his future may ultimately be on the mound. Pitches from a high three quarter arm slot with the same long loose projectable arm action as he showed from the outfield. Good balance to delivery, front shoulder flies open early and causes him to lose some of the potential velocity and diminishes command but fixable. Good arm side run on fastball, deep sweeping curveball, good velocity differential on changeup. Good student.
