Steven Rullo is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Freehold, NJ who attends Freehold Borough. Medium, athletic build with a lean and projectable frame, has room to put on additional strength. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step at start of delivery, keeps hands close to body hiding the ball well before releasing from a three-quarter slot. Short stride down the mound, opens front shoulder early at times and generates running life to arm side on fastball. Topped at 82 mph and attacked hitters with pitch, showed ability to work down to both sides of the plate. Nice feel for curveball, short 11-5 shape with tight rotation, mimics arm action of fastball well and steadily misses bats with pitch. Left-handed hitter, upper body swing, shows a short bat path to the ball, shifts weight early at times, hands stay close to body. Good student.
