Dayton Milner is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Weimar, TX who attends Weimar HS. Slender young build, minimal present strength. 7.23 runner, moves well to the ball in the outfield and shows his athleticism, can make the diving play, loose arm action with good carry and accuracy, projectable arm strength, solid overall defensive outfielder. Right handed hitter, big hand hitch to start his swing, exaggerated inside swing approach, flashes some bat speed on the outside half but tends to get jammed on the inside half, can improve offensively with adjustments and additional strength. Also pitched, fastball up to 73 mph from a high 3/4's arm slot, showed good spin on his curveball at times. Good student.
