Cole Johnson is a 2016 C with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard North HS. Compact build with good present strength, especially in the lower half. Advanced defensive skills, quick feet behind the plate blocking, keeps the ball in front of him well from a low and flexible set, glove is soft and quiet receiving the ball, quick release with a compact arm action, accurate on line throws, 1.94 best pop time. Right handed hitter, loose swing with some extension through contact, line drive swing plane, explodes his hands well at contact when he is timed, solid overall bat speed. 7.38 runner.
