Samuel Carrillo is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends J M Hanks HS. Slender build, very young look, lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, straight stance, commits early and gets to his front side, hits out front, spray line drive contact, handles the barrel well and hits to all fields, should continue to improve with additional strength. 7.37 runner, moves to the ball well in the outfield, big wind up to throw, tends to throw uphill, accurate throws. Also pitched, high 3/4's to an over the top arm slot, leans off to third base on release, fastball topped out at 71 mph, soft short curveball for strikes. Good student.
