Max McKettrick is a 2016 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from High Springs, FL who attends Santa Fe. Tall, lean build with room to fill out. Works from a high three-quarter arm slot and has a high leg kick. Reaches 73 mph with his fastball and attacks the strike zone. Varies the spin on his curveball from 11-5 to true 12-6 at times. Does a good job of spotting his curveball. Knows how to mix speeds and attack hitters. Also swung the bat, carries his hands high and looks to lift the ball. Flashes good hand speed and makes contact to all fields. Fielding actions need development in the outfield, shows solid arm strength. Good student.
