Erik Strandberg is a 2016 RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Palm Beach Central HS. Big strong athletic build, projects well physically. Short quick arm action, high 3/4's release point, stays on line and gets good extension out front. repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, works both two and four-seam fastballs effectively, gets good sinking action down low and will work both sides of the plate. Sweeping curveball shows good depth at times, tends to slow arm on his change up. Shows command of all his pitches and some feel for changing speeds and making adjustments. Has the tools to continue to improve. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
