Tyler Quinn is a 2017 OF/SS with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Williams Field. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long and lean projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Full of quick-twitch, ran an event best 6.75 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, quick feet and moves well to the ball, works over front side well and through the ball, full arm action with tight release, quick arm and gets on top of throws well, repeats actions and accurate to bag. Also pitched, deliberate tempo with late acceleration towards plate, throws from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Easy arm action, balanced on backside, upright finish. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, comes out of hand well, works down in the zone well. Flashed 11-5 curveball with short depth. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread and crouched stance, slightly open with a high hand set. Lowers hands at start of swing, shows ability to get the barrel through the zone and to the ball. Has bat speed and looseness, creates extension out front, line drive swing plane. Named to National Underclass West Top Prospect List. Good student.
