Chase Walter is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-6 225 lb. frame from Peachtree City, GA who attends Mcintosh HS. Walter has a big build with present strength in body. Medium arm action with a high 3/4 arm slot. Creates good down plane and angle to plate with size. Good projection on mound, fastball was up to 89 with life at plate. Two seam has good run and command both the four seam and two seam. Slider is tight with late break and has a developing 11/5 curveball. Needs to keep arm speed up on curveball like he does with slider. Kept composure on mound and commanded both sides of plate. Arm works well and has pitchability. Hits from a square stance, simple set up and stride. Easy smooth wight transfer, short swing considering size, repeats swing well and makes hard pull contact. Has raw power. Defensively, strong arm across diamond to third base, showed good athletic actions. Has makings of two way prospect. Outstanding Student. Named To Top Prospect List.
