Daniel Wiggins is a 2016 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Evans, GA who attends Lakeside HS. Nice athletic build, good present strength with room for more. Fast paced delivery, stays back over the rubber well, stays on line well with good direction through release, short and compact arm action, 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half in his delivery, has some deception and hides the ball well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, works his fastball to both sides of the plate, gets good sink and arm side running action. Change up has nice running action as well. Big breaking curveball will flash tight spin and bite. Crafty lefty who can throw three pitches for strikes and keeps hitters off balance well. Left handed hitter, low and deep hand set, good lower half use in swing as well, has some bat speed, hits the ball to all fields with solid line drive contact, has some hitting tools. Good student.
