Jan Carlos Rodriguez is a 2017 2B/SS, 3B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends City Of Hialeah Education Academy. Compact frame, athletic build with good strength for age/size. Right handed hitter, wide base with quiet setup. Small toe lift trigger, middle of the field approach with level, line-drive swing geared for contact. Hit very well in game action, compact to the ball, solid loud contact off of the barrel. Good first step in the infield, stays low to the ground, is athletic in crouch. Smooth, soft hands with quick transfer, accurate throws from a variety of arm slots. Good student. Named to Showcase Top Prospect List.
