Lucas Dunn is a 2017 MIF/OF, RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Panama City Beach, FL who attends J.R. Arnold. Dunn has a lean athletic build with room to fill out and add strength. Starts with a high hand set with a square set up. Has strength in swing and shows gap to gap power. Ball jumps off barrel. Has line drive swing plane and makes consistent solid contact. Flashed quick hands and showed a feel for hitting. Defensively, worked out from both OF and INF, from the OF, has plus arm strength and ball carried out of hand well with good accuracy. Shows good first step to ball and takes good angles to ball. From the INF, has quick feet and good hands. Works through the ball with good fielding actions, has solid arm strength across diamond. Also pitches, has high 3/4 arm slot from a shorter arm circle in back. Fastball shows good life. Does good job using lower half to create a good angle to the plate. Works both sides of plate with fastball. Curveball has 10/4 shape with tight spin. Good Student. Named to Top Prospect List.
