Osvaldo Mendez is a 2017 LHP/ with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends International Baseball Academy HS. Has a lean, athletic build, with room to continue to put on additional muscle. Easy moving delivery and stays online. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot with clean arm action and a short arm circle through the back. Gets extension upon release and stays loose throughout. Showed a four pitch mix, fastball has slight arm side running action. Slider had short break with late action, curveball had more depth, changeup had similar action to fastball. Throws strikes with all four pitches. Excellent student.
